Mr. Miller brings to Vetus over a decade of distribution financial advisory experience. He has worked with more than two dozen leading wholesale distributors, including over a dozen "top-100" distributors in various market segments. Former clients include public corporations such as Premier Farnell plc and leading privately-held wholesale distributors such as Edson Electric Supply and Stuart C. Irby Company. He has also provided buy-side M&A financial advisory services to select corporations and private equity funds as they consider distribution-related investments.
Prior to joining Vetus Partners, Jim founded, built and headed the Distribution Practice at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company. As a leading expert in the field of distribution, he has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences and events including the NAW Executive Summit and the NAW Billion Dollar Company Summit. In addition, Jim is a contributor to leading trade publications and has written for Electrical Wholesaling and OUTLOOK 2006: An Executive's Companion to Facing the Forces of Change. Excerpts of his work have been published in Industrial Distribution, TED Magazine, and Modern Distribution Management. He is an Associate Member of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors.
